Karen Khachanov advances to Grand Slam quarterfinals for first time

Karen Khachanov (Russia) has booked his spot in the quarterfinals of the French Open.

The Russian Armenian tennis star defeated Juan Martín del Potro (Argentina) in four sets in the Round of 16 of this Grand Slam tournament. In so doing, Khachanov also scored his first victory over Del Potro.

In addition, Karen Khachanov, 23, advanced to a Grand Slam quarterfinal for the first time in his professional tennis career.

His opponent in the French Open quarterfinals will be Dominic Thiem (Austria).
