Spanish head coach of London’s Arsenal Unai Emery has told about how French forward Kylian Mbappe wanted to transfer to Real Madrid in the summer of 2017. At the time, Emery was the head coach of PSG.
“I would talk to Kylian and his father a lot to convince Kylian to choose PSG. He wanted to transfer to Real Madrid and was also considering Barcelona. Mbappe really wanted to transfer to Real Madrid, but we convinced him that PSG is a French project, and PSG put the money on the table,” cadenaser cites Emery.
In 2017, Mbappe transferred from Monaco to PSG.
