Robert Lewandowski makes Bundesliga history

By scoring two goals in their Bundesliga 6-0 thrashing of Wolfsburg, Bayern Munich’s Poland forward Robert Lewandowski has increased his goal tally in Germany’s top professional football league to 197 in 281 appearances.

As a result, the 30-year-old player has become the Bundesliga’s highest scoring foreign player, surpassing Werder Bremen’s Peru forward Claudio Pizarro, who has netted 195 goals so far in the league.

In the current season of the Bundesliga, Lewandowski has so far scored 17 goals in 24 attendances, and he heads the top scorer’s list.
