Football commentator: Arsenal manager said team needs Mkhitaryan a lot

Timur Zhuravel, a football commentator at a Russian sports TV channel, has visited the Arsenal training grounds and met with the club’s 29-year-old midfielder and captain of the Armenian national squad, Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

“[Arsenal manager Unai] Emery was passing by us, and he said [to Mkhitaryan], ‘We are waiting for your return; we need you a lot,’” Zhuravel wrote on Twitter. “Theoretically, Mkhitaryan is interesting to all Russian Premier League teams.”

Also, the Russian football commentator posted a photo with the Armenia international.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan on Thursday resumed training after his foot injury. As reported earlier, he suffered this injury during Arsenal’s English Football League (EFL) Cup quarterfinal clash against Tottenham Hotspur, on December 19, 2018.

There are reports in the European press, however, that the Armenian midfielder may part ways with the Gunners.
