Armenia national football squad captain and Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan might continue his club career in Italy.
Milan are interested in the services of the 29-year-old player, according to Calcio Mercato Web.
The Italian team’s head coach, Gennaro Gattuso, wants to strengthen their midfield; and club general manager Leonardo is dealing with that matter.
As per the source, the Armenia international is an ideal respective option for Milan.
There were rumors that Mkhitaryan could part ways with Arsenal if Barcelona midfielder Denis Suárez were to transfer to the London club.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan continues to recover from a foot fracture. As reported earlier, he suffered this injury during Arsenal’s English Football League (EFL) Cup quarterfinal clash against Tottenham Hotspur, on December 19, 2018.
The Armenian midfielder is expected to resume training in February.
