Russia’s No. 1-ranked tennis player Karen Khachanov has commented on the end of a successful season for him.
Even though the 22-year-old Muscovite Armenian athlete was an alternate at the ATP Finals in London, he did not get the chance to play.
“[My win at the Paris Masters] emotionally of course a great moment, especially to finish the season like that, with these memories, with this level of game,” Sport 360 quoted Khachanov as saying. “I’m happy to be here [in London], even as an alternate.
“So hopefully for next year I can qualify directly.”
In the final of the Paris Masters, the Russian Armenian tennis player had beaten World No. 1 Novak Djokovic in two sets.
