A female Japanese runner fractured her leg during a road relay race, but she managed to cross the finish line, The Asahi Shimbun reported.
The athlete crawled for 180 meters, and her knees were bloodied in this ordeal.
Nonetheless, the event organizers ruled that she had violated the rules, and therefore her team was disqualified.
