Ronaldo: That woman wants to gain fame at expense of my name

Portugal captain and Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has commented on the reports that US resident Kathryn Mayorga has accused him of raping her.

During an Instagram livestream, Ronaldo said this accusation was a lie, this woman just wanted to gain fame at the expense of his name, and such situations are part of his work.

As per Mayorga, the alleged rape occurred in 2009, in Las Vegas.

Last year, Der Spiegel wrote that in January 2010, Ronaldo had paid her a hush money of $375,000 to avoid rape charges.

In June 2009, the football star had vacationed in Las Vegas with his brother and sister.
