Sergio Ramos on Modric award: I am as happy as if I had won it

 Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos congratulated Luka Modric who claimed FIFA The Best award.

“I am as happy as if I had won it. He deserves it, he is an excellent player and has marked an important era in the history of Real Madrid. It would have been good for Cris and Leo to be here,” Goal.com reported quoting Ramos. 

Modric ousted former teammate Ronaldo and Liverpool's Salah on the final three-man shortlist to win

A 33-year-old Modric was also awarded the Golden Ball as the best player at the 2018 World Cup.
