Ronaldo’s sister: They want to destroy my brother

Katia Aveiro, the sister of Portugal captain and Juventus star forward Cristiano Ronaldo, has commented on his brother being sent off during Juve’s UEFA Champions League group stage opener Wednesday against Valencia.

“[This sending off is] the shame of football, justice will be done,” she wrote on Instagram. “They want to destroy my brother, but God never sleeps.”

In the 29th minute of the aforesaid match—which Juventus won by a score of 2-0—and after a notification by one of his linesmen, the game referee red carded Ronaldo who, after a controversial collision with Valencia’s Colombia defender Jeison Murillo, had pulled the latter’s hair.
