Paris Saint-Germain’s German manager Thomas Tuchel is confident that the club’s Brazil star forward Neymar will be able to help the team in their forthcoming UEFA Champions League group stage opener against Liverpool.
Neymar had a chance to rest during PSG’s last French Ligue 1 match.
“What is sure is that he will play [against Liverpool], but in which role, I will not tell!” the UEFA official website quoted Tuchel as saying. “It’s never a risk to trust [Argentina and PSG midfielder Ángel] Di María. In which role though, same as Neymar—I cannot tell you. It would make it very easy for Liverpool to prepare.
“This [game against Liverpool] will bring out the best in us, get us used to this pressure, this kind of level.”
Tuesday’s Liverpool-PSG clash in England is slated for kickoff at 11pm Armenia time.
