Houston Rockets basketball player James Harden was involved in the incident at a Scottsdale nightclub, TMZ reported.
The police report was filed by a woman who claims she was roughed up by the NBA star at a nightclub and she has video.
According to her, a member of Harden's crew offered her $200 for the phone. She took the money, when Harden came up to her and handed her another $300.
The investigation has been launched over the incident.
