Kirsan Ilyumzhinov was dismissed from the post of the FIDE President, FIDE press service reported.
The decision was made by the FIDE ethics commission for the violation of the rules of the code of ethics.
Kirsan Ilyumzhinov has been leading FIDE since 1995. In 2017 FIDE announced Ilyumzhinov was dismissed from the post, however, the reports were dismissed.
FIDE Presidential elections will take place on October 3, while Ilyumzhinov is not included in the list of candidates.
