Cafu, Hristo Stoichkov and Vincent Candela met with reporters ahead of Legend’s Match that will be held in Yerevan on Sunday.
“I am very pleased to be in Armenia. Thanks to the organizers for this opportunity,” Cafu said. “As for the defeat of the Brazilian national team, it was due to the organized game of the Belgians. I do not accept criticism against Neymar, because the whole team is to blame for the defeat.
As for our game, I have great expectations. I'm sure that all the fans will enjoy the game. I do not know who will play tomorrow, but it's not that important.”
As to Hristo Stoichkov, he learned about Armenia from his friend Youri Djorkaeff.
“Tomorrow is a very important match, and I'm waiting for an interesting game. The Armenian fans will have a chance to see the game of their favorite football stars,” he told reporters.
Vincent Candela also said Djorkaeff told him much about Armenia.
“We have played for the French national team for many years. He never forgets his Armenian roots and is always proud of them. It is a great honor for me to be in Armenia. We want to show our fans an interesting game.”
