Barcelona to persuade Iniesta to stay

Barcelona will persuade Andres Iniesta to stay as he is “still vital for next season,” sport.es reported.

Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu and head coach Ernesto Valverde are going to talk with Iniesta during the international break.

Barcelona midfielder was reportedly linked with a switch to China last week. Chinese Tianjin Quanjian have denied that they have signed Andres Iniesta.

As reported earlier, the 33-year-old player signed a new contract with Barcelona in October 2017. The midfielder won a total of 30 trophies in Barcelona.
