Retired Spain footballer Xabi Alonso is suspected of tax evasion.
Spanish tax authorities have discovered three cases of tax fraud involving the former midfielder, according to El Confidencial.
It is noted that Alonso had used fake companies for marketing rights.
The 36-year-old ex-footballer could face up to eight years in prison and an €8mn fine.
