Russia professional football manager: Mkhitaryan may become Premier League second round revelation

Russian professional football manager and former player Leonid Slutsky has commented on Armenia national squad captain and midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s recent transfer from Manchester United to Arsenal.

“The transfer swap of Mkhitaryan and [Chile forward Alexis] Sánchez will be remembered; the [two] clubs received high-quality players,” Sovetsky Sport (Soviet Sports) sports newspaper of Russia quoted Slutsky as saying. “Of course, everyone will say Manchester United have gained more. But I’m confident that Arsenal have gotten more. (…). Mkhitaryan has a huge wish to prove that he could not fully manifest himself at Manchester for non-sports reasons.

“I’m very happy for Mkhitaryan, since he has found himself in a team that is very close to him, philosophically. With his motivation and skill, Mkhitaryan may become the revelation of the second round of the [English] Premier League. (…). I predict that Mkhitaryan’s transfer will be more beneficial. Mkhitaryan should give greater balance between the offense and defense of Arsenal.”
