Arsenal and France legendary forward Thierry Henry has lauded Armenia national football squad captain and midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has moved to the London club from Manchester United.
“As far as the Sanchez/Mkhitaryan swap is concerned, I was a big fan of Mkhitaryan when he was at [Borussia] Dortmund, but things didn’t go his way at Manchester United,” Express quoted Henry as saying. “He looks like an Arsenal player with the way he likes to play and the way Arsenal like to play.
“Time will tell us who was right with the swap.
“He’s still a great player.”
The Armenia international had told Arsenal press service that he considers Thierry Henry as the Gunners’ best player ever.
Mkhitaryan, 29, on Monday signed a long-term contract with Arsenal, and he was given the No.7 shirt of the London club.
