In the quarterfinals of the Australian Open, the current winner will play against Tomáš Berdych, who defeated Italian Fabio Tonini – 6-1, 6-4, 6-4.
The world's first female tennis player, Simona Halep, defeated Japanese Naomi Osaka 6-3, 6-2. Halep will play against Barbora Strýcová (Czech Republic) vs. Karolina Pliskova (Czech Republic) winner.
