Mourinho says Mkhitaryan could stay at Man United, he is very good player

Manchester United manager José Mourinho has not ruled out that Armenian national squad captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan might not leave the English football club in January.

The Portuguese specialist said there will be no problem if Mkhitaryan’s transfer to Arsenal does not happen, and that he could stay at United, according to Manchester Evening News.

Mourinho noted that Mkhitaryan is a very good player, he played great for the Red Devils last season, helped them win the Europa League Cup, and he was one of their key players.

He added that the Armenian international had started well also this season, but then his performance dropped somewhat.
The United boss said now there are many rumors, and that he is protecting Mkhitaryan by not putting him on the team roster, and that is not easy for Mkhitaryan to play well in this situation.

José Mourinho added that now we need to wait and see what will happen, and the winter transfer window will close on January 31.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s transfer to Arsenal is included in the ongoing transfer deal talks involving the Gunners’ Chilean forward, Alexis Sánchez.
