Manchester United (England) and English national football squad former defender Gary Neville has expressed a view that swapping Armenian national squad captain and midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan with Arsenal’s (London, England) Chilean forward Alexis Sánchez would be a good option for United manager José Mourinho.
“The clearest sign that something’s happening with Sanchez is that Mkhitaryan isn’t playing, that he’s not in the squad and Jose was happy to volunteer that information to us,” Sky Sports quoted the former United captain as saying. “He [Mourinho] wanted to keep the player clear, saying that he does rate him but I think he’d happily swap him in any deal for Alexis Sanchez.
“Anybody would.”
As reported earlier, Mino Raiola, the agent of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, has confirmed the news that the Armenian international could move to Arsenal, whereas Alexis Sánchez—in the opposite direction. In the Italian agent’s words, however, Mkhitaryan has not decided yet, and everything depends on him.
