Armenia chess masters win in 2 international tournaments

Grandmaster Karen Grigoryan (Armenia) became the winner of the Laos International Open Chess Championship 2018.
Grigoryan earned 7.5 points out of 9 possible points and took first place.
A total of 68 chess players from 15 countries took part in this tournament.
Separately, International Master Tigran Harutyunian (Armenia) won the 1st ALAIN Juniors Chess Championship U20 that was held in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.
Harutyunian garnered 7.5 points out of 9 possible points and captured first place.
A total of 143 chess players from 11 countries competed in this event, informed the Chess Federation of Armenia.
