Borussia Dortmund takes efforts to bring back Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
According to Ruhr Nachrichten, leadership of the German club met with the representatives of 28-year-old Armenian player. However, the obstacle to a possible deal is Mkhitaryan’s high salary. Borussia is not ready to pay the player 12.5 million euros a year, his annual salary in Manchester.
Earlier Borussia Dortmund general manager Hans-Joachim Watzke said he is well aware of Mkhitaryan’s transfer to Manchester, therefore his return is unlikely. According to British media, 10 clubs set sights on Mkhitaryan, and four of them are from Premier League.
In December manager Jose Mourinho said Manchester United is ready to sell midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan and defender Luke Shaw in January.
