Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan said he is proud to be named Armenia’s best player for the eighth time Football Federation of Armenia said in a statement.
“I want to thank you for this honor,” Mkhitaryan said. “Let 2018 become a year of peace and prosperity. I hope this year will be a turning point for Armenian football and we will achieve success with the Armenian national squad,” he said.
The Football Federation of Armenia has summed up the voting results for the country’s 2017 Footballer of the Year, and Mkhitaryan captured first place.
