Why Mourinho prefers Lingard over Mkhitaryan?

Manchester United manager José Mourinho is excluding Armenian national football squad captain and midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, 28, from the recent matches of this English club.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the Portuguese specialist has given Jesse Lingard the edge at Man United over Mkhitaryan because the England international plays better in a 3-5-2 formation, which Mourinho has switched to—from a 3-4-1-2 formation—in recent games.
The Red Devils’ manager has commented as follows on the recent performance by 24-year-old Lingard, who scored two goals during their Premier League match against Arsenal (London): “He played well. He did what the team needed him to do defensively and also in terms of going into finishing areas.
“When you play with two strikers you need people from the midfield that can arrive in finishing situations and that’s what Jesse did for us.”
