The Executive Board of the World Chess Federation (FIDE) confirmed unanimously the full delegation of FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov powers to the Deputy President Georgios Makropoulos.
Earlier the FIDE Executive Board requested Kirsan Ilyumzhinov not to run again for FIDE President.
Kirsan Ilyumzhinov headed FIDE since 1995.
