Russia’s No.1 ranked player, Russian Armenian Karen Khachanov, on Thursday could not advance to the quarterfinals of the China Open professional tennis tournament, which is held in the Chinese capital city of Beijing.
In the Round of 16, the 21-year-old athlete lost to World No.1-ranked player Rafael Nadal (Spain) in two sets, and in 1 hour and 29 minutes.
Nadal will face John Isner (USA) in Friday’s quarterfinals.
