Three Armenian athletes started performance at the World Gymnastics Championships that started in Montreal on October 2.
Harutyun Meridinyan (pommel horse), Arthur Davtyan (all-around )and Vahagn Davtyan (rings) are representing Armenia at the competition.
“Our athletes have started competing in the qualifying round. They showed good results. We cannot tell who is in the finals, as the qualifying round is still underway,” manager of Armenian team Hakob Serobyan told NEWS.am Sport.
The coach said he is happy with Harutyun Meridinyan who showed good result and is the second after the first day. Serobyan hopes Meridinyan and Davtyan will be in top eight, while Davtyan in top 24, which will a chance to compete in the finals.
