Liverpool F.C.’s (England) Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah has been selected Player of the Week in the first round of the group stage in the UEFA Champions League football tournament.
The respective online voting was conducted on the UEFA official website.
Salah scored a goal in Liverpool’s match against Sevilla (Spain) this week.
FC Barcelona’s (Spain) Argentine forward Lionel Messi, Real Madrid C.F.’s (Spain) Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo, and Paris Saint-Germain’s (France) Brazilian forward Neymar also were among the contenders for this title.
Messi and Ronaldo scored two goals, apiece, in this round.
