Armenia’s Karen Aslanyan (66 kilos) failed to win a bronze medal of the Greco-Roman Wrestling World Championships, taking place in Paris.
Russia’s Artem Surkov gained victory over Karen Aslanyan 2-1.
In the earlier rounds Aslanyan gained impressive victory over Azerbaijan’s Qamran Mamadov 7-1.
Aslanyan’s opponent in the last 16 round Korea’s Hansu Ryu reached the finals thus providing Armenian athlete an opportunity to continue fighting for bronze.
