The last ninth-round games will be played Friday at the 2017 Sinquefield Cup chess super tournament, the third round of the Grand Chess Tour, and which is wrapping up in the US city of Saint Louis.
In this round, Grandmaster (GM) Levon Aronian (Armenia) will face the reining World Champion, GM Magnus Carlsen (Norway).
All matches in this round will get underway at 10pm Armenia time.
After eight rounds, Aronian, who plays first board for the three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the former World Team Chess championsArmenia, shares first place, with 5 points.
