FIFA: Armenia climb one spot

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) on Thursday issued its new World Ranking.

Accordingly, the Armenian national squad have climbed one spot from the previous World Ranking and are 72nd in the new FIFA standings.

The team, however, have played no games since the previous ranking.

The squad’s once 30th ranking was a record-breaking high for the country.

To note, Brazil have passed reining world champions Germany and topped the FIFA World Ranking.

Armenia will play their next 2018 World Cup qualifier on September 1, when they will be hosted by Romania.
