Portuguese national football squad captain and FC Real Madrid (Spain) forward Cristiano Ronaldo has equaled Argentine international and FC Barcelona (Spain) forward Lionel Messi, with the number of goals scored in the current year.
Both have netted 32 goals so far this year.
Ronaldo reached this number owing to the goal he scored against Russia at the second round in the group stage of the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017, which the Russians are hosting.
