Armenia national football squad set record

YEREVAN. – The Armenian national football team have set a record Sunday by defeating Saint Kitts and Nevis by a score of 5-0, in a friendly in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.

The squad achieved their biggest win at home in history, according to the Football Federation of Armenia website.

Before this, Armenia’s biggest win at home was recorded in October 2010, when they had beaten Andorra by a score of 4-0.

In addition, Artur Petrosyan became the first person to achieve three wins in his first three matches as manager of the Armenian national squad.

Furthermore, team captain and Manchester United (England) midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who is the national squad’s top scorer in history, netted his 21st and 22nd goals for the team.
