YEREVAN. - This is a historical victory for our club, Gyumri’s Shirak FC manager Vardan Bichakhchyan told News.am Sport after being qualified for the second round of Europe League qualification.
“This is Shirak’s 10th participation in the European Tournament. The last was 8 years ago. This is the first time ever that our club has been qualified for the second round. It was not easy for us but we made all the efforts, and today’s match is its vivid evidence,” said Bichakhchyan.
“We are overjoyed for our victory. The victory of the first match gave us a big confidence. I feel good in Shirak FC and will do my best to help the team to continue playing during Europe League,” said Lamin Li Yoro who became the author of the only goal over the match.
