Manchester United (a.k.a. Red Devils) midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan spoke about the amazing goal he scored Monday, during the club’s English Premier League clash against Sunderland A.F.C.
“That was the best goal I’ve ever scored,” the Man United website quoted the captain of the Armenian national football squad as saying. “I was very excited. The first thing I did was look at the assistant and I saw it was not ruled as offside so I just started to celebrate.
“I was expecting the ball to be in front of me and then I realised I was in front of it. As the ball was behind me, the only thing I could do was a backheel so I did that and I succeeded.
“I don’t have anything of concern from a past injury so I’m happy to be back and I’m happy to be back to help the team.
“I will try to do my best for the next game. It’s very important that we’re in good shape and to keep going like this.”
Mkhitaryan, who featured for the first time after his ankle injury, entered the pitch in the 62nd minute of this match in Manchester, and netted the aforesaid incredible goal in the 86th minute.
The Red Devils won the match by a score of 3-1.
The Armenia international has scored three goals and made two assists in his last five matches for this English club.
