Henrikh Mkhitaryan: I worked a lot and proved that I can play in the first 11

Midfielder of Manchester United and Armenian National Squad Henrikh Mkhitaryan responded to reporters' question on the eve of the 6th round match of the European Championship against Ukrainian 'Zorya.'

''I have very good memories from being here. My last game, which I played in Odessa, was a very good one because I scored my first hat-trick for Shakhtyor,'' he said.

Mkhitaryan also noted that he only follows Shakhtyor, since the level of the Championship has very much fallen.

The Armenian footballer noted that they will have a very difficult match Thursday: it will be very hard to play because of the weather.  Nevertheless, he said that they will try to win.

According to Mkhitaryan, Manchester United did not surrender in the Championship of England, always wanting to win in all tournaments.

He also added that it is all the same to him who to play against in an attack. You must know the good qualities of your partner to maximally capitalized on them during the match, the midfielder noted.

Mkhitaryan has talked a lot with José Mourinho. ''The latter told me what to change in my game, and I listened to him. I am trying to think positively. I must be ready to any situation and prove that I am a top level player. It was hard to look at the matches of the team from a substitute bench. But I worked a lot on myself. I proved that I can play in the first 11 and will improve myself in the future.

I played an attacking football in Borussia. In Manchester United nobody accepts the style which you play, nobody adjusts to you. It doesn't matter what style you play. The most important thing is to be able to keep up with the team,'' Mkhitaryan said, sport.ua reports.

The match Zorya v. Manchester United will take place Wednesday at 10:00 pm Yerevan time.
