The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) on Thursday issued its new World Ranking.
Accordingly, the Armenian national squad have moved up eight spots and are now ranked 102nd in the new FIFA standings.
But the team have not played any games since the previous FIFA World Ranking. Until then, however, they had defeated Guatemala and El Salvador in friendlies in the US.
The squad’s much earlier 30th ranking was a record-breaking high for the country.
There are no changes in the top five of the latest FIFA World Ranking, which Argentina still top.
On August 31, Armenia will play a friendly against the Czech Republic, which are ranked 33rd, in Pilsen.
