YEREVAN. – The gymnastics international tournament, which is named after Armenian Olympic Champion Albert Azaryan, was held in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.
Gymnasts from Armenia, Iran, and Syria competed in this event.
In the championship “battles,” however, the representatives of Armenia gave no chance to the Syrian and Iranian athletes.
European silver medalist and Olympian Artur Davtyan was the leader in the floor exercise.
European champion and Olympian Harutyun Merdinyan was unmatched in the pommel horse
European silver medalist Vahagn Davtyan became the gold medalist in the rings.
And Artur Davtyan again was declared winner in the vault, the parallel bars, and the horizontal (high) bar.
