Tottenham join race to sign Mkhitaryan

Tottenham Hotspur (England) are set to enter the race to sign Armenia national football squad captain and Borussia Dortmund (BVB; Germany) midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, according to the Daily Star newspaper of the United Kingdom.

As per the source, Tottenham will have to “battle” Arsenal F.C., Chelsea F.C. (England), and Juventus (Italy), which likewise are interested in the services of the Armenia international.

Tottenham wanted to sign Mkhitaryan also in 2013, when he transferred to BVB from FC Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine).

The 27-year-old player does not wish to extend his working contract with the German club, and which runs until the summer of 2017.

Mkhitaryan scored 11goals and had 18 assists in 31 appearances in the German Bundesliga competition last season for Dortmund.
