YEREVAN. – The Armenia national boxing team have returned home from Samsun, Turkey, where they competed in a ranking tournament and attained four Olympic qualifications.
The team arrived in Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan, the capital city, on Monday night.
Despite the late hour, a big crowd had assembled at the airport, informed the National Olympic Committee of Armenia website.
In the said tournament, silver medalists Artur Hovhannisyan (49kg) and Narek Abgaryan (52kg) as well as bronze medalists Aram Avagyan (56kg) and Vladimir Margaryan (69kg) qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics that will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
