As a result of a Bundesliga official website poll, Borussia Dortmund (BVB) midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been recognized as the best player of Week 23 in the current season of Germany’s top football league.
The 27-year-old captain of the Armenia national squad received 47 percent of the respective online votes.
Mkhitaryan’s goal and assist were instrumental in Dortmund defeating TSG 1899 Hoffenheim 3-1 in their Week 23 match.
According to Opta Sports, the Armenia international has bagged 19 goals and 19 assists in 37 matches so far this season for BVB.
At present, Henrikh Mkhitaryan is the player with most number of assists in the current season of the leading European football leagues.
