Argentinean-Armenian tennis star David Nalbandian, who is currently ranked 39th in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) standings, avoided further disciplinary action by the ATP.
To note, Nalbandian was given a technical defeat for injuring a linesman at the final of the ATP Queen’s Club tennis open held on June 17 in London.
In the second set of his match against Croatia’s Marin Cilic, Nalbandian could not return a shot from the Croatian and, in rage, he kicked an advertising board placed under the legs of a linesman. As a result, the linesman’s shin was injured.
The event organizers decided to call off the match and give a technical defeat to David Nalbandian.
