UEFA not going to launch probe into Armenia vs. Albania match

UEFA is not going to hold an investigation into Armenia vs. Albanian EURO 2016 qualifying match, the organization said in response to an inquiry by Serbian Vecernje Novosti daily, inserbia.info reported.

“UEFA constantly monitores all matches, teams and national championships of each of our 54 members. It is approximately 32,000 matches per season, including the Champions League and Europa League. If we determine that something unusual or abnormal happened, we will launch an investigation immediately. Even in the case of the match for which you sent us inquiry,” says the response from UEFA sent to the daily.

Earlier Serbian and Albanian media said UEFA is launching a probe into match fixing allegations. Kurir.rs claims that Albanians paid 500,000 euros to three defenders and a goalkeeper of the Armenian national squad.
