The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) on Monday issued their new world rankings.
Accordingly, the WTA leaders maintained their positions. In the ATP, however, Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal dropped three spots to seventh place, and after his defeat in Sunday’s finals of the Mutua Madrilena Madrid Open in the Spanish capital city.
The last time when Nadal was ranked seventh was back in 2005.
