YEREVAN. – Acting Sport and Youth Affairs Minister Yuri Vardanyan received Armenia’s athletes who won medals at the 2014 European Wrestling Championship held in Finland, and their coaches.
“Overall, our athletes’ achievements are satisfactory. Our expectations from this championship are met, albeit we could have done more,” Vardanyan said, in particular.
Subsequently, the aforesaid athletes and coaches received various awards.
“We have great expectations from the 2016 Olympic Games; our athletes must win gold medals,” the minister specifically stated in closing, the Sport and Youth Affairs Ministry informed.
