YEREVAN. – Formal introduction of the Armenian national football squad’s new uniform was held Saturday at the Football Federation of Armenia (photo). The Federation has a two-year contract with Adidas, and the contract could be extended.
The new uniform is unicolor, and Armenia’s national team will wear the red one during home games and the white one in away matches. The uniform also has the country’s cote of arms.
During the official presentation, team manager Vardan Minasyan noted that, just like the news reporters, he saw the new uniform for the first time, and said it is very beautiful and Adidas is a high-quality manufacturer. Minasyan also expressed a hope that the national squad will perform well with the new uniform.
The journalists remarked that the colors of the new uniform resemble those of Spain and Greece, but team captain Sargis Hovsepyan responded by saying that the uniform should not be compared with that of other national squads.
The Armenian national football team’s new uniform will soon be introduced for sale.
