Bundesliga.com reflects on Mkhitaryan’s game

For all his sorcery, though, one might still have felt sorry for Mkhitaryan. Despite his efforts, the Armenian looked like he was going to end the game without any reward as chance after chance went begging, wrote the German Bundesliga official website.

The website commented on Armenia national football squad and Borussia Dortmund (BVB) midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s performance against his club’s Bundesliga match against FC Nürnberg. “With six shots on goal, it was seventh heaven when, in the 83rd minute, BVB’s playmaker completed the scoring, adding the cherry on top of the 3-0 win, and a smile to his face. ‘“[Nürnberg goalkeeper Raphael] Schäfer kept making excellent saves to deny me, but I never gave up and I firmly believed that I would score my goal today,’ Mkhitaryan said. “When he [i.e., Poland international and Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski] did find the back of the net, thanks to Mkhitaryan’s assist, he moved clear at the top of the scoring charts with his 15th of the season,” the website also reported.  Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored a goal against Nürnberg, thus raising his Bundesliga goal tally to six, and also provided an assist.
