The Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz 2024, another round of the Grand Chess Tour, has started in the US.
The former leader of the Armenian men’s national team, Levon Aronian (USA) played to a draw with Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa (India) in the first round, defeated Ian Nepomniachtchi (Russia) in the second round, and drew with Wesley So (USA) in the third round.
2 points are given for a win, and 1 point for a draw.
After three rounds, the leader is Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (France). Aronian, Leinier Dominguez Perez (USA), and Ian Nepomniachtchi share the second to fourth places, with 4 points each.
Nine rounds will be held in the rapid chess tournament, and 18 rounds—in the blitz tournament.
