German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, 32, will be the new captain of Barcelona, Marca reports.
The previous captain was Barca's football academy player and Spanish midfielder Sergi Roberto, who left the club—as a free agent.
Ter Stegen has been playing at Barcelona since 2014, with which he has become a five-time Spanish La Liga and a five-time cup winner, a three-time Super Cup winner, as well as a Champions League, European Super Cup, and Club World Cup winner.
